Epic Break (& bonus epic break)
It’s been QUITE an action-packed school holidays here at Granite Glen.
Let me see my checklist… oh here it is.
FOUR sets of visitors – CHECK.
TWO bull sales – CHECK
FOUR Pizza Nights – CHECK
TWO Twitterlanches – CHECK
TWO days at hospitals – CHECK
Now, don’t panic, but let’s at least look at some sweet scenery before I explain those last two. (This is a 1-2 coffee-rated post. Get comfy!)
Firstly, Dash had a day boy (non-boarding) mate out for a few days. He was a really sweet young man (and extraordinarily clever) and seemed to love his dose of country. They got to go fishing, pat bulls and horses and play with dogs. Boy Heaven.
We visited our southern-most paddocks where the boys (including Mr Incredible and our resident tomboy, Violet) fished and I… well I took photos.
Our second lot of visitors were my city mates – who come annually (although last year’s visit was postponed for obvious reasons) with their kiddos for their dose of country.
This was just ONE of our outings… to the northern section of our river, which saw swimming, football and photo action.
(Slideshows are click-through)
Suffice to say that I am the proud (temporary) owner of a wheelchair and I have enough downtime to get this year’s calendar FINALLY sorted.
As I said. A bit epic.
So anyway… how were YOUR holidays? And dramas?

I feel you pain Amanda as I am still recovering from a fall down steps and damaging both my feet! Wearing thongs and not watching where I was going. I am actually almost walking normally now. Has taken nearly 5 months but at least I survived to tell the story.
Good luck with recovery and take care

PS: Oh and my moon boot was a very stylish grey 🙂
Only needed it on the broken foot after being in a cast for 8 weeks. The other foot was just strapped as I dislocated the ankle.

Oh Amanda, even your “hiccoughs” make us smile
But seriously you taking things easy are you not?
And you should be looking for “sitting down on your bottom” type jobs.
Love Florence

Bless your heart! It sounded so busy and FUN until I got to the injury part!! (Makes my slip in the shower look minor by comparison) At least there’s a lot of good news…you’re through with your treatments, the calendar is sorted, and you’re still in good spirits!

God Bless you darling girl…You don’t do things in halves…
So glad that was your last treatment..at least you don’t have to deal with that issue while the legs heal..
Now you will have to slow down….
Falling is awful…sickening…and I know the boots…but not for breaks…thank goodness…
PS…If you want to share the medical saga…I wont be bored…*G*

Oh boy, not another injury to deal with. Here’s to a solid recovery and getting the calendar finished meanwhile. Love the pictures as always; thanks for sharing.

I don’t like your bonus epic fail. Poor you. Rest up – although I guess you’ve not too much choice.

You know, I’m not real big on telling people what to do, but I really do think that you shouldn’t do that anymore.

So the only way to make you slow down is to break your ankles, sounds very maffia!!! I wish I was there to help out xx

Oh….nooooooo……I hope you are feeling better soon!! Please refrain from doing wheelies in the chair therefore reducing the risk of braking and arm!!
